A senior at the University of Washington, I plan to graduate with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Marine Biology. The marine sciences has always been my main focus, not only for the rigorous array of learning that goes into the field, but also the magnetizing sense of what has yet to be discovered within its vastness.

10. A favorite memory of my backyard:

Growing up in a major metropolitan city, I never had a traditional backyard. As an alternative, I spent my summers attending “Fish Camp” located on Wallops Island, VA at the Chincoteague Bay Field Station. It was a 2-week marine science field camp where we spent our days trawling, identifying native fish species, morning dolphin watching, and laboratory lectures. Fish camp had me hooked!
